Dying Eggs

How do you dye easter eggs with a one year old?! You begin with high hopes believing she just may be able to contain her excitement and curiosity and not create a distaster. So you give her a mug of dye and a hard boiled egg. Then you are quickly brought back to reality when dye is splashed, the egg is tasted and your cat like reflexes catch the egg as it goes sailing through the air. So you switch to plan B--plastic eggs and a bowl of water. The best part about it is she doesn't know the difference and has a blast playing with the eggs, splashing in the water and pouring the whole bowl of water down the front of her shirt. All in all it was a fun first and a learning experience for a new mom.

Colorado Trip
The view I took in when I woke up in the morning. Yeah, I actually took a picture before getting out of bed.
The 3 Skimigos. Sorry, terrible.
We skied (ski'd?) downhill one day, which was about as good as it gets. Even better than Masanutten. But we cross-country skeed the next day, something I've never done before. Maybe it was the indescribable scenery, but I think I enjoyed it even more than the downhill. Absolutely loved it. It's true, I fell more times on the cross-country skis.

We skied up the Oh-Be-Joyful creekbed. We could occasionally see the water running below. I don't know, maybe it wasn't the safest idea. But hey, we're wilderness men, that's what we do.

Yes, wilderness men.
Me with Adam and Tyler's wife Janna, while Tyler entertained us during his weekly Saturday night gig at the Princess Bar. Notice how boring Adam's facial hair is.
Some pics of snowy CB to amaze you:
