To all my faithful readers....
I am not purposefully neglecting my blog. I have tons of pictures that I am dying to show you. We have gone apple picking, Ella has made and baked her own apple cake, we have had friends in town, gone to the Botanical gardens etc etc. BUT sadly my computer has decided to take a break from life right now. He just won't wake up. So until we take him to get looked at and fixed I will be unable to update you with cute pics. of my kiddos.
However to give you a little update in words. Drew is growing so quickly. I take him in for his 2month appt. this week. He is holding his head up really well now. He is beginning to smile--this totally melts my heart. If he's in the right mood he will coo and talk with you. He does not like to be on his stomach, loves taking baths (although he rarely gets them due to his mom's crazy life), he just went on a Women's retreat with me and was doted on like crazy so now he doesn't understand why he needs to sit all alone in his bouncy seat. Basically he is a gem. What more could a mom ask for?
As for Ella.... Ben sweetly put it in his sermon yesterday, she is a child prodigy. She has successfully reached her terrible twos at the age of one and a half. But I will not talk about those great stories in this post. She still has a way of stealing our hearts and making us laugh every day. She has learned to put on her shoes which often leads me to laughter because she comes running into the room with them on the wrong feet and it just looks so uncomfortable but hilarious. She loves to point at things especially if she hears something that she doesn't think I have heard. She will gasp and point trying to say in her own cute language what it is she has heard. She knows many animal sounds, loves to point out all her body parts, loves to sing and dance has a favorite book called "Each, Peach, Pear Plum" but she calls it "I spy", climbs on absolutely everything, thinks she is hidden from view if she puts her hands or blanket over her eyes, loves to make hats out of any piece of clothing big enough to fit on her head and LOVEs to wave and say hi to all our neighbors as they walk up and down our street. This list could go on and on. You will just have to come visit to see her in action. Some days I wonder where my little baby girl went and wish she was tiny again but then I remind myself that I have never laughed so much in my life until now.
Hopefully, I will be able to post some pictures shortly. Until then.....
