Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and... What Happened to Va. Tech??

Howdy everybody. Hope 2007 has greeted you with open arms. It's been a great year for us so far. As for the final few laps around the track in 2006, here's a little recap:

- Anna is reaching the stage in pregnancy where delivery actually sounds enticing (although she still looks fantastic - here's proof)...

- We had an intensely relaxing trip home, spent mostly in Roanoke with the Osters due to the fact that Bill and Sheila were in Ghana the whole time visiting Gini (and are now home safe). Here we all are with Sherry's parents, the quintessential grandparents...

- Tawny Sarah got some practice at holding the baby (complete with grapefruit head)...

- We enjoyed a whirlwind trip through C-ville where we visited with our close friends the Rehms and the Nesbits; then dashed to Richmond where we attended the wedding of Zane and Beth Hart; made an appearance at the famous Rickman holiday party (Amy Wood's parents); gathered at the Woods' where we got all excited about the used-to-be Peach Bowl for no good reason; worshipped at Trinity back in C-ville Sunday morning; then enjoyed New Year's Eve on the road back to STL. Midnight rolled around somewhere in the middle of Illinois as Anna was conked out in the back seat, the radio stations were alarmingly oblivious (I was actually listening to "Love is a Battlefield" by Pat Benatar when 2006 passed into oblivion), and we were about to run out of gas with nary a station open until we sputtered up to a BP oasis from heaven.

- Now we're home safe and sound, Anna is back to work for one more month (at the most!), and I am... about to do something I'm sure.

Anna, you look gorgeous! Hang on, your only a month away. I second your feelings of labor looking really good at this point. I think it will actually be exciting and a relief! We are praying for you guys and thinking of you often. Much love to you and your little girl.

Thanks for finally updating your page! I was wondering where you'd gone!
Anna, you're looking great! Good luck with your last month at work and as a couple!

What are you talking about "What happened to Va. Tech?" The Hokies proudly continued their longstanding tradition of running up a significant lead and then making the other team feel good about themselves by allowing them to drag themselves back into the game and ultimately win. It's a very difficult thing to do and make it look convincing. It was yet another example of the selfless Gobblers sacrificing their pride and humbling themselves for the good of another, less worthy, team. I'm proud of them. Go Hokies!

what happened at the game- i was there and will tell you- in true hokie fashion we CHOKED!!! Beamer brought us to the bowl game like normal and we won the first half but unfortunately- that doesn't count in the end! But on a better note- we were so glad you could make it to the party! anna you looked great and were glowing!
