Six Month UpdateOur little rascal had her 6 month check up on Monday. She weighed in at 16lbs 15oz and 26in. tall. She went from the 7th% in weight to the 60th%!! Over the last two month we have obviously followed doctors instructions and added some meat to her little bones! Doc says she looks great! She was given 4 shots and we were sent on our way.
Ella has grown up so much in the last couple months. I thought i might share some of her most recent developments.....
- She is obviously sitting up all by herself which allows her to entertain herself with toys anywhere we put her down.
- She loves textures. She will run her little fingers over any sort of fabric, rug, blanket or toy that she gets her hands on. She is curious about every little thing and will study them, bringing them up close to her face so she can get a better look at whatever she has found.
- She loves to stand. Anytime you are willing to hold her hands she will push up on her legs. If we lead her she will even take a couple of steps. Everyone is convinced that she will skip the crawling stage and be walking in no time! I personally am not quite ready for this yet. I kinda like this stage she is in.
- We have started her on cereal. After this doc. visit we were given the go ahead on introducing veggies and fruits so that will begin next week. Ella's favorite part about eating is trying to wrestle the spoon away from mommy. She also loves to throw any toy on the floor if she is sitting in her highchair. Its her new game.
- She has graduated from sitting in her car seat when we go into stores to riding in the front of the cart. She is so cute she holds on so tight its like she is on an amusement ride!
- She chews on everything!! I am expecting a tooth a start making a bump under her gums any day now
- She has found her tongue. She loves to stick it out.
- She is such a big girl that when we go swimming she goes under water. (well for on split second)
- She makes this growl/dinosaur roar when she is frustrated with something or simply wants our attention
- She loves Laci and Evan (two neighbors around the age of 2). She loves to sit and watch them play.
Ok, i could go on and on. But i am sure most of you have simply seen that there are no more pictures and have already moved on. Thanks for being apart of our lives!!
We are headed back to VA for the weekend. We are going home so that Ella can be baptised at our home church and to attend one of my college roommates wedding. It should be a very busy, very quick trip but well worth it. I'm sure we will have lots of pics to share when we get back.

I always love the updates!
congrats on being baptized ella!
(glad to see she knows the "good" magazines already- i see a southern living in the first picture!)
ps- the first picture she looks exactly like ben!
Those of you who see a likeness to Ben will be happy to know that yes indeed, Ella does look quite a bit like Ben's pics at that age! But I also saw a younger picture of Anna which had Ella characteristics. Grandma
